The “Legend” was the name of the first ever Lush longboard, shaped all those years ago in a Yorkshire cellar… it’s latest incarnation is a “dancer” surf-style shape, refined over the years to be slightly shorter, lighter and stronger than previous versions.

It’s perfect for perfecting your surf footwork, cross stepping and nose riding, and it’s ideally suited as a longboard dancer too.

Shape

The Legend is fully symetrical in shape and profile to makes flips and shuvits easier.

Using a custom rocker with kicks, we’ve shaped a long standing platform with plenty of room for your footwork and dancing moves.

Rounded, steep nose and tail makes this deck much easier to pop into the air than a lot of similar-shaped longboard decks.

Construction

This deck uses our signature “X-Flex” construction, a composite sandwich of hardrock maple and two layers of bi-axial fibreglass, laminated together with waterproof Epoxy Glue. Lighter, stronger, with a springy flex.

X-Flex gives a better energy return, giving an awesome carving, pumping feeling through turns that will be familiar to wave and powder addicts.

Dancers will find it takes more abuse than a regular maple deck, holding its pop for longer, surviving rail impacts better, being more resistant to snapping under heavy impact.

Longboard Surfing Footwork Cross- Trainer

The Legend’s flex, rocker and length makes it ideal as a tool for longboard surfers to practise and improve cross stepping, nose riding, backpedalling and general balance. It’s obviously a lot shorter than your 9ft longboard surfboard, which will tighten your stance up and help you tidy your moves when the waves are flat.

If you can cross-step on a longboard skateboard, then you’ll find it way easier on your longboard surfboard! Skateboards and surfboards have a lot in common in terms of nose-to-tail and rail-to-rail movement, so you’ll find it much easier to get a feel for stepping back from the nose whilst dealing with a turning, tipping deck under your feet.

Walking up and back for a nose ride will be a doddle with a bit of practice. You’ll also find that the classic longboard nose wheelie has a lot in common with a hang five nose ride on your surfboard.

Longboard Dancer

With a super-comfy Rocker Profile with solid kicks and both ends, a simple but functional shape, wheel wells to keep things low, this is the perfect deck for all those tigerflips and Peter Pans.

This year we have shortened things up a little, making the decks slightly easier to get off the ground and more maneuverable for flips, turns and spins.

The strong X-Flex construction allows us to loose a ply, making the deck thinner and lighter than before, so it’s even easier to chuck around.
